Transfer Deposits, Balances and Cancellation Rules
How the 10% transfer deposit, the 90% balance, the 24-hour cancellation rule and refunds work, as set out in our cancellation policy.

How the deposit works
Submitting a request starts an inquiry. A booking is confirmed only after availability is verified, the deposit is received and a confirmation voucher is issued.
- Transfers: a 10% non-refundable deposit. The 90% balance can be paid before pickup or to the driver on arrival.
- Tours and safaris: a 30% non-refundable deposit. The 70% balance is due 30 days before departure.
Cancelling a transfer
- More than 24 hours before pickup: the 10% deposit stays non-refundable, and the 90% balance is not payable.
- Within 24 hours of pickup: the deposit is forfeited.
- No-show: the deposit is forfeited.
Cancelling a tour
The initial 30% deposit is always kept. Cancelling 90 or more days before departure loses only the deposit. From 61 to 89 days the fee is 30% of the total booking cost, rising to 40% at 41 to 60 days, 50% at 21 to 40 days, 60% at 11 to 20 days and 70% at 2 to 10 days. Within 48 hours, or for a no-show, the full booking cost is charged.
Changing a booking
Major modifications, such as a destination change, new lodges, new travel dates that need supplier renegotiation, or a new group size, carry a USD 50 administration fee plus any third-party costs.
Paying
Accepted methods include bank transfer, credit or debit card, and mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money). Cash on arrival is accepted only when approved in writing.

- How long do refunds take?
- Where a refund applies, it is processed within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method. Bank and payment gateway charges are excluded.
